Safety First

Your safety is our top priority. Here's how we keep LinkUp safe and what you can do to stay safe.

📍

Public Places

Always meet in public, well-lit locations. Coffee shops, parks, and community centers are great choices. Avoid meeting at private residences until you know someone well.

👥

Group Activities

Group activities are safer than one-on-one meetings. Many activities on LinkUp are designed for groups, which provides a natural safety net.

📱

Stay Connected

Let a friend or family member know where you're going and who you're meeting. Share your location if you're comfortable doing so.

🚨

Report Issues

If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts and leave. Report any concerns immediately through the app. We take all reports seriously.

Safety Tips

  • Meet during daylight hours when possible
  • Keep your phone charged and accessible
  • Don't share personal information too quickly
  • Trust your instincts - if something feels off, it probably is
  • Arrange your own transportation
  • Stay sober and alert

How to Report

If you encounter inappropriate behavior or feel unsafe:

  1. Leave the situation immediately if you feel unsafe
  2. Open the LinkUp app
  3. Go to the user's profile or activity
  4. Tap "Report" and follow the prompts
  5. For emergencies, call 911

We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include warning, suspending, or permanently banning users who violate our community guidelines.

Remember: Your safety is more important than being polite. If you feel uncomfortable, it's okay to leave.
